We have listed several individual and group volunteer opportunities below. In addition, we have special group projects available during the holiday season and as needs arise throughout the year. We also always welcome new ideas, so please don’t hesitate to call or email our volunteer coordinator.

Individual Volunteer Applicaiton

 


Lunch Preparer (1 - 4 People)
Location: Homeless Youth Resource Center
Date/Time Commitment: One day per week. Two hours from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
Individual volunteers work together to prepare lunch for homeless youth who access the Homeless Youth Resource Center.

Dinner Preparer (1 - 4 People)
Location: Homeless Youth Resource Center
Date/Time Commitment: One day a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4:00 to 6:00 pm. (cook, serve and clean) Tuesday and Thursday 5:00 to 6:00 pm (serve and clean).
Individual volunteers work together to prepare dinner for homeless youth who access the Homeless Youth Resource Center.

Facility Assistant - Cleaning (Individual or Small Groups)
Location: Homeless Youth Resource Center
Date/Time Commitment: Open, weekly. Weekdays 10-11:30 am.
Help maintain the cleanliness and positive appearance of the Drop-In Center.

Homeless Youth Street Outreach Program Assistant
Location: Homeless Youth Resource Center
Date/Time Commitment: Six month committment. Weekdays, between 11:30 am and 7:30 pm. Tuesdays and Fridays 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Establish relationships with homeless and at-risk youth in the community and assist them in obtaining goals.

Activity Leader (1 - 2 People)
Location: Center for Women and Children
Date/Time Commitment: Once weekly. Two hours.
Help the Center for Women and Children provide a variety of activities and learning opportunities for the residents.

Dinner Preparer (1 - 4 People)
Location: Center for Women and Children
Date/Time Commitment: Some groups commit to volunteering once a week or once a month. This is also a good one-time volunteer opportunity for groups. Two hours per shift.
Volunteers work together to prepare dinner for residents of the Center for Women and Children.

Supervised Play Assistant
Location: Center for Women and Children
Date/Time Commitment: One session per week. Daily 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
To lead safe and pleasant play experiences for children of women undergoing treatment at the Center for Women and Children.

Activity Leader (1 - 2 People)
Location: Adult Detoxification Center
Date/Time Commitment: One session per week for one hour. Day or evening.
To assist in the recovery of adult clients by doing creative and fun activities.

Office Assistant
Location: Adult Detoxification Center
Date/Time Commitment: Once weekly, flexible shifts for 2 hours.
Provide administrative assistance and support to the Adult Detoxification Center.

Yard Maintenance (1 - 10 People)
Location: Group Transition Homes
Date/Time Commitment: This is an excellent one time group volunteer opportunity. Would like a weekly or monthly commitment during the summer. Times and dates will vary. Shifts 2-6 hours long.
Help maintain the yard and overall appearance of the Transition Home.

Office Assistant
Location: Day Treatment Services
Date/Time Commitment: Once weekly. Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Friday 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Provide administrative assistance and support to the Treatment Services Center.

Pick-up and Delivery Driver
Location: Homeless Outreach Program
Date/Time Commitment: Four month committment. Mondays, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesdays, 3 hour shift between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
To provide assistance in picking up food and in-kind donations and delivering them to agency programs
