The Library Engagement Team encompasses a variety of homeless outreach services, such as basic needs like food/clothing/hygiene, and case management to assist clients. We have information on resources available for low income patrons and coordinate services with our community partners. From enrolling individuals into benefits, housing programs, coordinating medical care, employment assistance services, transportation to hospitals, Volunteers of America, Utah's Detoxification Center, and to domestic violence shelters within Salt Lake County.

The Library Engagement Team works in conjunction with the Salt Lake City Library employees to ensure the library is a safe and welcoming place to the entire community. We do this by providing training's for library staff on how to work with homeless individuals and by deescalating people within the building who are overwhelmed with the stresses of homelessness.
