Family Counseling Center offers a wide variety of counseling services provided by compassionate and experienced professionals to help individuals and families achieve a better quality of life. We welcome people of all backgrounds in need of mental health services, LGBTQ+ counseling, and addiction services.

FCC aims to meet the unique needs of each individual and family as a whole by honoring individual differences, core human values, and the complexities of family life. We have a rich history of serving the Salt Lake Valley for over 100 years, joining Volunteers of America, Utah in April 2018.

At Family Counseling Center we are committed to assisting our clients in bettering themselves by providing a welcoming and safe environment for those searching for mental health treatment. Our well-rounded team of mental health professionals specialize in multiple facets of behavioral health making it easier to improve the lives of our clients with different backgrounds. During each session, no matter the service, our clinicians aim to address each client's issues and work on promoting long-term success creating a safe space for growth.

Addiction

Having a licensed and experienced counselor that can tackle all sides of treatment will aid in recovery. Our counselors have backgrounds treating a variety of issues, which provides a wealth of knowledge and experience that can ensure a healthy path to recovery. Family Counseling Center has highly qualified counselors who specialize in behavioral, substance and sexual addiction.

Couples and Families

No relationship, whether it’s marriage or with relatives, is perfect and many families experience tumultuous times. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, and you are not alone. Family Counseling Center has trained staff who specialize in couples and family counseling who can help repair and build relationships to become strong again.

Domestic Violence

1 in 3 women in Utah experience some form of domestic violence at some point in their lives. Depending on the situations, it can be hard to leave that environment. Family Counseling Center has specialized individuals to help guide people suffering from domestic abuse along with helping perpetrators and child witnesses.

Kids and Adolescence

As a parent, it can be tough to figure it out whether your child’s troubling behavior is just part of growing up or a problem that needs professional help. Mental health is just as important to a child’s overall health as it is to an adult’s. Family Counseling Center serves clients as young as four years of age to help guide the youth to live full, happy lives.

Mental Health Dissorders

Mental well-being is fundamental to a healthy life. However, 1 in 5 adults in the US experiences a mental health condition, and 1 in 25 adults lives with a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. FCC has licensed professionals who specialize in several different mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, bipolar, and personality disorders.
